At their factory near Detroit they design, manufacture, assemble, and test all sizes of mechanical presses including crank, eccentric and link type as well as hydraulic presses for production and die spotting operations. Press automation accessories are also designed and manufactured to suit customer requirements. HYDRAULIC PRESSESThe EAGLE hydraulic press line addresses the requirement for a constant pressing force such as deep draws, mold or die spotting and plastic production applications. EAGLE hydraulic presses range in capacity from 200 – 2000+ tons. Frame styles are offered in a four post HP or straight-sided SH configuration. As hydraulic cylinders supply the pressing force, many of the constraints associated with a fixed mechanical linkage disappear. State-of-art control packages combined with integrated hydraulic circuit blocks allow faster speeds, promoting the use of hydraulic presses as an accepted alternative to traditional mechanical presses. MECHANICAL PRESSESThe EAGLE SC (crank) press series covers a broad low to medium tonnage range from 200 – 800 tons. Gearing arrangements vary with bed sizes and energy requirements from single geared, single end drive (low energy demand) to double geared twin end drive (medium energy demand). The SC mechanical press offers many hi-tech options including programmable cams, variable speed drives, soft clutch and braking, hydraulic overloads, and automatic counterbalancing. The SE (eccentric) series addresses medium and high tonnage application which require long strokes and have high energy demands. Custom bed areas, stroke lengths, shut heights, and large windows are available without a premium price tag. The series is typically double geared with either two or four point suspension. SE series presses range in capacity from 400 – 2000+ tons with the same hi-tech equipment available with the SC series.
